COVID-19 Operating Guidelines
Revised March 20, 2022
Overview
This page sets out the updated guidelines for Pack 10’s operations in accordance with applicable guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society (PRPS), and the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) (collectively, the “COVID-19 Guidance”), effective March 20, 2022.
In addition to these guidelines, the Pack encourages eligible individuals to get vaccinated against COVID-19 (including boosters).
Guidelines for Pack and Den Activities
- All in-person events will follow this COVID-19 Guidance.
- In-person meetings may be held indoors or outdoors. Masks are optional for indoor events (but see “Masks” below).
- Anyone who feels sick or shows symptoms common to possible COVID-19 infection (e.g., cough, chills, headache, sore throat, muscle ache, diarrhea, fever, etc.) should not come to an in-person event.
- Anyone who has come in contact with an individual who has been infected with or shows symptoms of COVID-19 should not come to an in-person event for 10 days.
- BSA recommends that no one in a higher risk category participate in in-person events.
- Masks: In keeping with updated Pennsylvania state and local guidelines, masks are not required for indoor and outdoor events (although Scouts and their families may still wear them to events if they choose to do so).
- However, if a location hosting an activity (e.g., summer camp at Camp Garrison) requires masks to be worn outdoors, we will follow the location’s requirements.
The Pack will continue to review and adjust these requirements to reflect applicable changes in COVID-19 Guidance over time.
